The blogsphere is spewing too much information to me lately. So many new things to learn. Fresh ideas keep popping up in my head on what to add to my newsletter, blog post.. stuff that I should KIV for further research or even additions to my e-books.
So many things and so little time. I am sure that this is the complain of most SAHM which has been said over and over again.
I just made some additions to the layout on my parenting blog- From Dominique’s Desk
I added a new RSS button and E-mail subscription. Any comments on them?
What else should I add to the design of the website? Still not 100% happy with it’s current layout and design but I haven’t got the time to tweak it further. Anyone willing to give my blog a FREE makeover?

Is your sunscreen really safe ?
Today @skimbaco twitted me her post of is your sunscreen safe
It got me running to my bag to check if the sunscreen was safe for the boys. Apparently it isn’t!!
I need new sunblock for the kids.
Another labeling issue that I discovered is with milk bottles and BPA. Most of the commonly found brands of milk bottles are not safe from leeching toxins. Even brands like Avant are not spared.
To view a complete list of items that have been tested for safety visit Safemama.com
Luckily Roy is not on the bottle at all and Ryan is now drinking milk from a cup or via his Munckin straw bottle.

Last weekend while I was on IM with a girlfriend. She forwarded me a link of a blog she liked me to check out. The contents of it moved her to tears and she cried buckets over the post. The most recent post by that author was about her attending a funeral memorial service they had at East coast park for her 3 children.
No you haven’t read wrongly 3 kids. Looking at her back posts and seeing the tablets and urns of her children which God had taken away before she had a chance to love and care for them. I do not know her history but based on what she wrote I gather that she had difficult pregnancies. Her eldest child, if he was still alive, would be the same age as Ryan and her twins Roy’s age. Her 2nd child was still born and the 3rd (girl) only survived a day when she was born prematurely.
I shudder at the fact of my children departing from this earth before me. Having experience two earlier miscarriages since the birth of my boys I can truly relate to the pain this mother must have been suffering. She is very brave to be able to set aside her feelings and work hard at taking each day a step at a time in rebuilding her life.
The year that Roy was born(2006) was also a emotional rollercoaster for both Raph and me as both of us lost our grandfathers ( his paternal) and ( my maternal) in the same year. In 2007 Raph’s grandmother passed away and he only has his maternal grandmother left in HK. It is the same for me here in SG.
It set me thinking that all the more we should not be caught up in the daily humdrums and work more on building up our family relationships

I recently joined the newsletter from this site
I have yet to really check out the healthy recepies from the site. * Which I should be doing* and incorporating some of their suggestions in the boy’s weekly dinner menu.
I really feel that Alkaline diet should really help boost one’s energy. Feasting on too much meat and junk will wear down one’s energy level and put in too much toxins in our body.

I have been reviewing what I need to do for this month.
So far I only managed to do 1/2 I have set up to do for the month.
This month I am to start to get Ryan to sleep in his own room. Will do up his room nicely 1st before I shift him over. Will attempt to shift Roy over with him if possible.
This month ( even though there is only 1/2 month left)
I will try to
- Do up at least 3 book reviews
- Try to boost my blog ranking futher
- Design a cake for mother’s day
- De clutter more parts of the house.

I’m still figuring out how to deal with the constant ” I WANT…” from Ryan. Today there was another outburst from him as he wanted his name (which was written in ink) erased from the drawing paper. I had written it in for him as he was doing finger painting and asked me to do so. However after I have written his name, He INSISTED on me erasing it as he wanted to write his name in HIMSELF….duh!!! Marker ink on drawing paper is not erasable. I was trying to tell him that but he simply REFUSED to listen. In the end I handed him the eraser and let him try it out by himself if it can be erased. Why are toddlers so fickle minded.
